|Greatest Opportunities Christianity Has Ever Known
Lookout world. Rodger can talk now! While I was just as disappointed as anyone else that Rodger Bingham, a.k.a. Kentucky Joe, didn’t survive this week’s immunity challenge on the hit CBS show “Survivor”, part of me is extremely excited about what’s about to happen. For the next six days, the entire world will be listening to what Rodger has to say. He will be on every television show imaginable that broadcasts out of New York. His words will be printed in newspapers and magazines from Queensland, Australia to Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Chat rooms and message boards will be alive with discussion about the 53 year old man from Crittenden, KY.
We may be on the verge of one of the greatest opportunities Christianity has ever known.
It all began with Rodger deciding to take his Bible with him as his one luxury item. Over the past 13 weeks we have seen this unassuming, Godly man lead several prayers and carry the banner of what Christianity is all about better than anyone could ever have scripted. Humility, genuineness, meekness, selflessness, example, and Christlike are all words that come to mind when I think of trying to describe Rodger.
The world has watched as the blossoms of Christianity transformed into fruits. Now the world will learn about the man behind the man we know as Kentucky Joe. For many it will be their first introduction to the man who will save them from their sins.
Kentucky Joe is about to introduce the world to Jesus Christ.
